JOB VACANCY: CIO / IT Director - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Scope:

Responsible for providing strategic oversight of the Information Technology Department, including: IT infrastructure, ERP and applications development, implementation, and support. He will also align Group strategy and the technology vision by integrating Group processes with the appropriate technologies. 

Responsibilities: 

•Formulate and enhance the strategy and lead the IT department in implementing initiatives towards enhancing security, and improving service reliability

•Evaluate existing technology on a regular basis to recommend changes that would increase efficiency and improve effectiveness

•Interact with internal and external clients to ensure that a quality service is provided to end users

•Develop strategy for new applications development

•Review timelines and budgets for software development to find the most cost effective solution. 

•Provide technologies that make it easier for users and suppliers to do business with the client’s Group

•Review and negotiate contracts regarding the client’s Group systems to ensure it is getting cost effective solutions

•Assist in the evaluation of group needs to find innovative systems

•Provide advice on evaluation, selection, implementation and maintenance of information systems

•Oversee the development and maintenance of a disaster recovery plan

•Responsible for the recruitment and hiring of new employees

•Ensure appropriate training programs are in place to attract and retain employees

Essential Requirements: 

•BS in Computer Science or Engineering, Master degree is preferred

•At least 7 years of management in IT field

•At least three full cycle “Tier I” ERP implementations in large scale companies

•Strong communication & leadership skills

•Experience managing large teams

•Experience in dealing with multiple projects (PMP is preferred)

•Strong understanding of IT development life cycle

•The successful applicant should have strong experience as a Senior IT Professional with reputable companies. 

•MUST have experience in implementing ERP and SAP
